In one instance Chris’ local knowledge helped educate us about a potentially hazardous purchase. A home we were interested in was down the road from a farm which had been using forever chemicals. We had never heard of forever chemicals, but we learned they leach into the water system of the surrounding area and are both hazardous to health and impossible to get rid of. Without Chris’ knowledge we would not have been able to make a fully informed decision. 

Chris was incredibly patient and willing to schedule showings that were far from his home and office and always made us feel welcome and encouraged to see any home we wanted. He was quick to respond to our mountain of questions throughout the process and really helped ease our worries of being buyers in a sellers’ market.

Chris’ professionalism and persistence helped us purchase our incredible new home. During the offer process Chris gave us guidance on what we could and could not include in our offer and how to make a strong offer which ultimately was accepted. During the purchase processes Chris worked closely with our lender to schedule and attend inspections, and with our title company to smooth out roadblocks that we’re putting our close date at risk of being delayed.

Our realtor; Chris Marcoux is a highly skilled realtor. It didn't matter what time of day or night I called him. He returned our calls and answered any questions we had about homes we wanted to see and there was a lot of them all over Maine. We viewed about 50 homes and there were days we go see 3-4 homes in different towns . He never complained. He was very helpful and would even recommend homes that he thought we'd be interested in. We finally found the perfect home and in the town we really wanted to be in. He made the buying process so easy and talked us through the process I would highly recommend Chris. He's a very professional and knowledgeable realtor. I'd give him a 10. My husband and I even told him he felt like family and we were going to miss him. 

We were referred by a very close friend who works for Coldwell Banker in the Bay Area, California where we moved from, and we didn't know what to expect. Having only vague Zillow descriptions and abstract hopes to rely upon when we first reached out, Chris very quickly and effortlessly guided us through the home selection and buying process. 

Chris was more than willing to virtually tour multiple prospective homes via video call,  was refreshingly honest about the upsides and potential downsides of each property in which we'd expressed interest, and was cordial and very helpful as a local guide when I flew out to tour a home in person during the inspection. And he did all this with a positive, friendly, and chipper attitude which made the entire process not only pleasant, but made it all feel very encouraging and made attaining our goal seem achievable. He went above and beyond on many occasions, and we're very grateful. 

Bottom line: I'm typing this email from inside the house we purchased due to Chris' help, guidance, and support, and after a few weeks unpacking and getting settled, my family couldn't be any happier or more gratified to find ourselves in this position. We owe this in large part to Chris and the Coldwell Banker team, and are very grateful that our original referral from 3000+ miles away resulted in such a positive outcome.
